Gala Update

Dear LILA Los Feliz community members,

As the date for our Gala fundraiser ( May 22nd) draws closer, we would like to remind you that we are still seeking items for donations to our online, silent, and live auctions.
A big thank-you to those parents who have already brought in donations and started the ball rolling!
As you know, our nonprofit school depends on funds raised from this event to make necessary improvements to our respective campuses.
We are all working together for the same cause: our children.

Here are some suggestions for what we seek as donations. Of course, all donations are gratefully accepted.

Experiences
Sailboat/yacht rides, hot air balloon rides, a chance to walk the red carpet at a Hollywood event, tickets to a taping of popular shows like American Idol, a stay in a vacation home...

Sports
Staples Center tickets to a Lakers or Clippers game, tickets to Dodger Stadium, signed memorabilia...

Gift Certificates
Restaurants and concerts. Lessons for adults and children: music, sports, art, etc.

Tangible items
Jewelry, designer items ( clothing and accessories), collectible books, etc.

We are also asking that you participate in gathering items for 4 large gift baskets which our Los Feliz Chair, Sue Hunter, is putting together.
Below is a list of the basket themes with suggested items.
Any contribution you can make toward them will be very much appreciated!
Items can be dropped off together with a donation form ( available in the Office as well as downloadable from the school website www.lilaschool.com under Le Jazz Hot! ).
Please indicate on your form to which basket you are donating.

1. Spa- Lavender Spa for Two
   White bath robes
   White spa slippers
   Lavender salt scrub
   Lavender soap
   Lavender lotion
   Lavender candles
   relaxation CD or even better ipods

2. Afternoon in Provence
   Picnic basket
   any food items for the picnic basket
   Provence table cloth and napkins
   Cheese tray and knife
   Travel book of Provence
   Cookbook of Provence

3. BBQ at the Beach
   Large cooler on rollers
   Umbrella - small
   Small BBQ or Hibachi
   Beach towels
   Beach bag
   Baseball Hats
   Sunscreen
   Kite

4. Parisian Getaway
   Any Eiffel Tower Merchandise
   Any French Flag Merchandise
eg. T-shirts, Sweatshirts, Ornaments, key chains, drinking glasses, snow globes
   Travel book about Paris
   Map of Paris
